Beaver Stripes Boat Graphics
Boat Registration Numbers
Arizona boat registration numbers must be on each side of the forward half of the vessel and must read from left to right. The boat registration number must be in block letters at least 3 inches tall and of a contrasting color of the boat itself. The boat registration number should be clearly visible from 100 feet away during daylight hours. Most of the boat numbers we cut are 3 inch for full size boats, but have done 2 inch for smaller Personal Water Craft.
The letters AZ and the suffix shall be separated from the numerals by a hyphen or equivalent space, for example: AZ-1234-AA or AZ 1234 BB. (Most common is just spaces) Moreover, boat graphics and vinyl lettering in Maricopa County must consist of block lettering that is plain and easy to read from a distance away.
The owner shall display the assigned number and the current annual decals in such manner as may be prescribed by rules of the commission. The number and decals shall be maintained in legible condition.
Beaver Stripes can usually cut these numbers while you wait, once you decide on the Color(s) and Font. Which we can show you on the computer before we cut. The finished product will be spaced and topped with a PreMask paper mask keeping the letters and numbers together as a one piece decal to install, which needs to be removed after installation.

Just keep in mind, you may have limited space to work with with smaller boats. Get your ideas together, measure the space you have to work with, take a couple of pictures of the boat. Then get with Beaver Stripes to create the image or message you want to share.
Boat Stripes
Lets face it, like anything else in the desert sun, especially being on the water, things don’t last in the sun! As with your original vinyl stripes on the boat, they will need to be replaced sooner or later. Beaver Stripes is here to save the day. With the same striping we have available for RV’s and cars, a full pallet of colors available, you can restore the luster of the boat you once had with new stripes and graphics.
One thing to keep in mind, even though most boats like to have real sparkly graphics, these metallic stripes, if not painted will burn faster than non metallic colors. So when replacing the stripes on your boat, think about using basic opaque colors without the metallic base. Your opaque vinyl colors last much longer in the desert sun.
Beaver Stripes stocks single and multi line stripes ranging in sizes, starting with 1/4″ , 1/2″, 1″, (available in 150′ rolls), 2″, 4″ and 6″, (available in 50′ rolls). All of these sizes can be slit down to a smaller size if needed. We also stock the same colors in 15″, 24″ and 30″ which can be used to make boat names in the matching colors.
Beaver Stripes is available for Boat re-striping at our location. Some exceptions have occurred where we have gone onsite for some larger boats, contact us for for information.
Premium vinyl lettering is made from a casting process. Premium vinyl is made very thin which produces a conformable product that allows application over substrates with rivets, corrugations, and complex curves. Durability, color and other properties of premium vinyl decals is generally higher than that of other vinyl lettering films due to the manufacturing method and the raw materials used. Premium vinyl lettering offers the lowest shrinkage of all vinyl films because the film has not had any stress applied during the manufacturing process.
